‘I would hate to fight MVP’: Pros react to Michael Page humbling Shara Bullet at UFC Saudi Arabia

Michael Page faced a daunting task at UFC Saudi Arabia, competing up a weight class against an undefeated opponent. And he passed the test with flying colors.

“MVP” put on a show in Saturday’s co-main event in Riyadh, baffling Shara Magomedov for three rounds en route to a clear unanimous decision win. It was a statement victory for the longtime welterweight, who was moving up to 185 pounds for the chance to hand “Shara Bullet” his first loss. It was a vintage performance for the 26-fight veteran, who bounced back from a recent loss to Ian Machado Garry.

As with several of Page’s past opponents, Magomedov had no answer for the veteran striker’s dazzling technique, and it became clearer with each passing minute that Page was in control.

As UFC heavyweight Derrick Lewis put it, “I would hate to fight MVP.”
