AEW DYNAMITE was broadcast on TBS and streamed on MAX live
from the Knoxville Coliseum in Knoxville, TN!
Excalibur, “The Human Suplex Machine” Taz, and Tony
Schiavone were the broadcast team for tonight’s event.
It’s Wednesday night and you know what that means!
Tony Schiavone was in the ring to kick off the show as “The
Aerial Assassin” Will Ospreay & Kenny Omega went face-to-
face!
Will: “Thank you for joining me today, Kenny. I’m glad
you’re not dead. I can’t remember the last time we were in
this ring and not throwing punches at each other. But a lot
has changed. I was doing everything in my power to stop the
Don Callis Family and you’ve come back at a bad time. Moxley
has the World title, but I keep running into the Callis
Family and I can’t do it on my own anymore.”
Omega: “Stop. Stop. You said you didn’t remember the last
time we faced each other in a ring. Let me remind you it was
Forbidden Door and, in that match, not only did you drop me
on my head, but you stabbed me in the head with a screw
driver. The same one Don used months before. It makes you no
better than him. And you did it all because you were trying
to prove you were better than me. Not only do I not believe
you were better than me then, but I also don’t believe
you’re better than me now. Number One is standing right in
front of you. If you’re here to apologize and ask for my
help, the answer is no way, bruv.”
Will: “Listen to me you little prick—”
Right as things were about to break down between Omega and
Ospreay, Don Callis walked out!
Callis: “Look at these two prima donnas.”
Omega sprinted toward Don but Takeshita and Fletcher
blindsided Omega! Ospreay came to the aid of Omega. Ospreay
connected with a corkscrew leg kick. Takeshita ambushed
Ospreay. Omega nailed Takeshita with a snap dragon suplex.
Fletcher blasted Omega with a thrust kick! Fletcher threw
himself over the barricade at Will Ospreay, the action
spilling out amongst the fans!
Don Callis waved in reinforcements! Brian Cage and Lance
Archer ran down. Archer hit Will with a low blow. Archer
whipped Will into a trash can while Omega fought off
Takeshita and Cage! Ospreay and Omega nailed Archer with a
double suplex through a merchandise table! Omega moonsaulted
off a lighting rig while Ospreay moonsaulted from high atop
the stands, wiping out the Don Callis Family!
Omega: “Hey, Don Callis, we saw what you did to your boys!
Don Callis, the next time we get a chance, it’ll be you we
put six feet down under. And speaking of down under, boy do
I have an idea. Will, you wanted an apology? Maybe it’s me
that should have apologized. What do you say, Will? Let’s
restore that feeling in Australia! Grand Slam it’ll be me
and Will against Kyle Fletcher and Takeshita! Let’s go!
AEW World Champion Jon Moxley was backstage with Wheeler
Yuta and Marina Shafir!
Moxley: “Cope went to sleep in 2011 and woke up in 2025 in a
world he doesn’t understand, in a world where the animals
are meaner and smarter. We’ll be glad to throw your carcass
on top of the pile, Cope. Maybe the next time you go to the
doctor, Cope, you get some bad news. Maybe it’s a worst case
scenario. And in that case, I won’t lose any sleep over it.
I don’t have time for relics from the past. There’s too much
to do. We’re building a future.”
AEW World Tag Team Championship Match!
Private Party (c.) –Zay & Quen
vs.
The Hurt Syndicate—Bobby Lashley & Shelton Benjamin (with
MVP)!
“Private Party will have to push the pace. They are not
afraid of the Hurt Syndicate,” said Tony Schiavone.
“If they’re nervous, they are certainly not showing it. They
are capable of great things. We’ve seen it time and time
again,” replied Excalibur.
Zay launched off the back of Quen and dropkicked Lashley.
Bobby bulldozed Zay with a running lariat in the corner.
Quen held Shelton while Zay landed a senton. Private Party
flew through the ropes with topes, but Shelton and Bobby
caught them and tossed them with belly to belly suplexes.
Lashley smashed Zay through the announce table!
Benjamin and Lashley focused all their fire on Quen,
whipping him into the barricade, as Zay was down.
“Quen is getting dismantled here,” said Taz.
Quen kicked Shelton in the back of the head and finally
tagged in Zay. Zay dished out forearms and dropkicked
Shelton in the chest. Quen connected with a 450 splash on
Benjamin, but Bobby ran in to break up the pin attempt.
Bobby speared Zay and covered him, but Quen broke up the
pin! Lashley hurled Quen with a release German Suplex. Bobby
choke slammed Quen and then speared Zay. Bobby covered Zay
and picked up the victory!
New AEW World Tag Team Champions…The Hurt Syndicate!
Ahead of their match in Australia at Grand Slam, AEW Women’s
Champion Mariah May will go face to face with Toni Storm on
Collision this Saturday!
Alex Marvez was backstage with “The Last Outlaw” Jeff
Jarrett!
Karen Jarrett interrupted.
Karen: “Remember what we talked about. Last week, you
getting down in the mud with MJF, that’s not who you are
anymore.”
Jeff: “I got it, Karen, relax.”
Jeff Jarrett came down to the ring and asked for a
microphone.
Jeff Jarrett: “As I was driving up here last night, trying
to gather my thoughts, another fellow Tennessean came to
mind. One of my greatest mentors, the King, Jerry Lawler. It
took me back to an early part of my career. Two guys beat
me, and Jerry watched backstage. And I threw in a few verbal
jabs, and I got back to my dressing room and the King came
in and got in my face. He said, “Jeff, what the hell are you
thinking out there. Don’t ever get in the gutter with your
opponent. I’ll just say this: sometimes it’s great to come
back home to remember who you are. MJF, you’re going to find
out exactly who the Last Outlaw is.
“Max, we’re going to settle this Southern Style. No lights,
no camera. I’m going to take you out to the woodshed and
beat your ass. But enough about that one-hit wonder. You
fans inspired me to get in the Owen Hart Cup last year. You
guys have given me a gift. The gift of a 57 year old man
believing in himself that he can become the AEW World
Heavyweight Champion. So let’s get right down to business.
AEW World Heavyweight Champ Jon Moxley, let’s get out here
and talk!”
Claudio Castagnoli blindsided Jeff Jarrett with a thunderous
European Uppercut.
Claudio: “Nobody gets to Jon Moxley without getting through
me first. Let me give you one piece of advice, outlaw. Stay
out of our business.”
Jeff: “Claudio, turn around. You know me better than this.
You’re going to have to kill me to stop me. Mox is my
target, Claudio what about this: I beat your ass next week,
I get my World title shot?”
Claudio: “Beating you lifeless? An interesting proposition.
I’ll see you next week.”
Jeff: “Yeah, it’s on next week!”
Swerve Strickland (with Prince Nana) vs. AR Fox!
Swerve back elbowed Fox and then flipped onto Fox from the
apron and down on the arena floor. Ricochet was shown
walking backstage with a pair of golden scissors in his
suitcoat pocket.
Swerve nailed Fox with a backbreaker. AR Fox caught Swerve
with a DDT. Fox launched off the ring post with a moonsault
to Swerve on the floor. Swerve power slammed Fox. Swerve was
lining up Fox for the House Call, but Ricochet jumped on the
apron and tried to hit Swerve with the scissors. AR Fox
landed a pump kick while Prince Nana chased Ricochet to the
back with a pipe!
Swerve dodged a 450 splash! Swerve blasted Fox with the
House Call kick! Swerve smashed Fox with the Swerve Stomp
and pinned Fox!
“Despite the attempt by Ricochet, that wild swing with the
scissors in the hand, Swerve prevails over AR Fox,” said
Excalibur.
Ricochet appeared on the big screen!
Ricochet: “Hey, Swerve, the risks you take when you think
it’s ok to bully people. Next week you will all be forced to
listen to me because I have a lot to get off my chest. Isn’t
that right, Prince Nana? I could gut you like a fish, but I
need you to tell Swerve that while this may be his house,
there’s a new landlord in town and rent is due!”
ROH World Champion Chris Jericho had a New York Minute
segment.
Jericho: “We failed at taking out Hobbs last week. Learning
moments only work when you learn from them. We lost last
week, Bill. What are you going to do about it?”
Big Bill: “Last week, Hobbs and I went face to face. He may
have won the match, but he can’t beat me. Because I am the
biggest, baddest man in this entire company. So you know
what I’m going to do? This Saturday, Hobbs, I’m coming to
find you!”
MJF strolled down to the ring!
MJF: “Cut my music. Jeff Jarrett, I want to say from the
bottom of my heart, you deserve to give every single
wrestling fan an apology after your actions last week. But
if anyone deserves an apology more than anyone else, it’s
me.
“When I offered to help you win the AEW World Championship
as long as I was the first one to get a shot, I did it
because I thought you’d be the easiest to beat. Jeff, it’s
2025 and you actually think you’re going to be the next AEW
World Champion without my help. That goes to show you that
you’re as senile as you look. But by the time Claudio is
done beating your brains in next week, you will be.
“Jeff, I know you think if you grind hard enough, you’ll
earn yourself more time in pro wrestling. But I’m here to
tell you the truth. Professional wrestling doesn’t love you
anymore. These fans, they don’t even love you anymore, Jeff.
“You’re about to find out the hard way that sometimes you’re
better off making a deal with the devil instead of defying
him!”
“Hangman” Adam Page’s music hit!
“Hangman doesn’t play games,” said Taz.
Page got into the ring and got right into MJF’s face,
pointing for MJF to get out of the ring. MJF left the ring.
“Hangman” Adam Page vs. Tyler Shoop!
Hangman took out his frustration on Tyler and quickly pinned
him. Hangman was looking to make an example of Tyler and
nailed him with Angel’s Wings after the match, sending a
message to Christopher Daniels!
Christopher Daniels walked onto the ramp with a neck brace
and a microphone.
CD: “I don’t want to fight you. I just wanted to be a friend
to you. Every time I approached you it was like pouring
gasoline onto a fire. I let my ego get into the way and I
regret that, Adam. I’m going to regret that for the rest of
my life. Because after that Texas Death Match, my doctors
have advised me to never wrestle again. So I’m here, face to
face, to tell you, you win. You’ve won the last match that
I’ll ever wrestle. So this is goodbye. I’m sorry. And I hope
you can be happy now.”
Renee Paquette was backstage with AEW TBS Champion Mercedes
Mone!
Mercedes: “I am a global champion now. And I’m about to
wrestle in Australia and I can’t wait to see who’s going to
jump on the Mone train next.”
Harley Cameron interrupted and challenged Mercedes to a
match.
Mercedes declined and told Harley to get away.
Jamie Hayter vs. Julia Hart!
Hayter whipped Hart into the barricade. Hayter flung Julia
into the steel steps. Hayter followed up with a missile
dropkick.
Julia Hart tried to match power with power and swept out
Hayter’s legs. Julia mounted Jamie and began to bash Jamie’s
head on the mat. Hayter chopped at Hart’s knee as Hart
climbed the turnbuckles. Hayter suplexed Hart off the ropes
with an avalanche backdrop.
Hayter nailed Hart with three consecutive German Suplexes.
Hayter spiked Julia with a spinebuster for a near fall.
Hayter applied a single leg crab, but Hart reached out to
the ropes to force the break.
Julia locked on the flying octopus hold. Hayter escaped with
a back breaker. Julia nailed Hayter with a crucifix bomb for
a near fall. Hayter hit the Hate Breaker and then the Hayter
Ade and picked up the pinfall victory!
Hayter: “I have a very heavy respect for women like you who
do what they want to do. You move to the beat of your own
drum. No matter if you have a million people behind you, two
big men standing behind you, or right now, all alone, you’re
still a tough b—tch. You win one, I win one, and when you
want number three, you’ve got it!”
Powerhouse Hobbs had harsh words for Big Bill!
Hobbs: “Big Bill, Jacksonville is where I got my start. You
won’t have to look for me very hard. I’ll be waiting for you
in the parking lot!
Swerve Strickland had some words for Ricochet!
Swerve: “Ricochet, you think you’re big and bad with those
scissors in your hand. Two weeks from now the chase is done.
The lion gets his hands on that rodent. Maybe, just maybe,
I’ll catch you a little sooner than that!”
Brody King, Buddy Matthews, and Julia Hart said they had no
gods, no masters, just violence.
When they bark, they bark together!
“The Rated R Superstar” Cope
vs.
AEW Trios Champion “The Bastard” PAC!
Pac grappled Cope to the mat, but Cope escaped and applied a
hammerlock. Cope grabbed Pac and planted him face first onto
the ring steps! Cope sent Pac into the barricade! Pac saw an
opening, used the ring as a weapon, and began to assault
Cope with kicks to the neck and head. Pac jumped over the
top rope with a plancha to Cope!
Pac rocked Cope with a snap suplex. Cope came back with a
John Woo dropkick! Cope planted Pac with a sky-high! Cope
swung for the fences and drilled Pac with a lariat. Cope
spiked Pac with the Impaler!
Cope went for a spear, but Pac anticipated it and jumped
over Cope. Pac applied the Brutalizer! Cope collapsed as he
got to the ropes, forcing the break. Pac pump kicked Cope to
the back of the head. Pac followed up with a suplex. Pac
slid in and applied the Brutalizer again! Cope got to his
feet with Pac on his back! Cope drove down Pac on his back!
“That was an amazing counter by Cope,” said Schiavone.
Cope speared Pac in the lower back! Cope speared Pac in the
abdomen, attacking the core. Cope rocked Pac with a TKO
style cutter and pinned Pac!
“A very well executed gameplan by Pac, but a gutsy
performance by Cope to score the win,” said Excalibur.
After the match, the Death Riders appeared on the big
screen. Claudio hit the con-chair-to on the Rock N Roll
Express as FTR were taped up to chairs! The Death Riders
marched to the ring, surrounding it!
“Cope is trapped,” said Taz.
The Death Riders swarmed Cope and began to assault him!
“Switchblade” Jay White sprinted to the ring and came to the
aid of Cope, cleaning house of the Death Riders. White went
for the Blade Runner on Mox, but Wheeler nailed Jay with a
low blow first! The Death Riders stomped Switchblade! Mox
applied the bulldog choke on Cope!
