away! AEW DYNAMITE: Title Tuesday was broadcast live on TBS
from the Spokane Arena in Spokane, WA!
Excalibur, Jeff Jarrett, and Tony Schiavone were the
broadcast team for tonight’s event.
It’s Tuesday night and you know what that means!
Jon Moxley opened the program with strong words for AEW
World Champion “The American Dragon” Bryan Danielson!
“This is the real world. Nothing lasts forever. Saturday
night they will see the truth. In Danielson’s element, in
the ring, the American Dragon comes to life. But if you back
it into a corner, it becomes something truly terrifying.
“As his world closes in around him, Bryan Danielson will
embrace his dark side. And I will be ready. I have to be. I
don’t have a choice. There are not enough people in the
state of Washington to stop me on Saturday night. I will run
into the mouth of war on Saturday. Run while you have the
chance. I can only hope that one day, Bryan, you’ll
understand it’s gotta be this way. But I don’t have time to
worry about that right now. The stakes are too high!”
Up Next: Darby Allin headed to the ring!
Darby: “Brody King, get out here right now!”
The House of Black’s Brody King made his way to the ring!
Darby: “I’m so excited you answered my challenge for
WrestleDream. I know exactly what you’re doing. Remember
when we worked the indies and stayed up all night? You were
so nervous because you didn’t know how your career would end
up. You were with Ring of Honor, and I called Tony Khan and
said, ‘Hire Brody King.’ I got you a job here. It was me!
“We’re so much alike. You bought your family a house because
of AEW, but the problem is you want my spot. I am the face
of this company. I was a guy who was never supposed to make
it but because of AEW, I made it!”
Brody: “Stop! You’re right, Darby! But I don’t take it for
granted. We all know you have a death wish. What happens
when you climb Mount Everest and don’t come back? You need
someone to save you from yourself.”
Darby: “Why wait? Put me out of my misery!”
Darby slapped Brody and Brody fired back with a strike.
Darby held a rock and smashed it into Brody’s mouth, busting
Brody wide open!
Renee Paquette was backstage with Jake “The Snake” Roberts
and “The MurderHawk Monster” Lance Archer!
Don Callis interrupted and said they did a talent transfer,
and Lance Archer was not part of the Don Callis Family.
“I’ve got big plans for Lance Archer,” said Don Callis.
Renee Paquette: “Well who did you get, Jake?”
Jake Roberts: “Well, do you like surprises? So do I!”
Renee Paquette tried to interview Daniel Garcia as he was
entering the arena!
Garcia said he had more to say but he owed it to the fans to
deliver the message directly to them in the ring.
First Time Ever in AEW!
Komander (with Alex Abrahantes) vs. Hologram!
Both men showed off incredible lucha skills, hitting a
stalemate early on. Hologram drove Komander into the
barricade with a big time tope suicida!
“High risk, high reward,” said Jeff Jarrett.
Hologram hit a snap suplex. Komander kicked Hologram in the
head. Komander walked the tight rope and flipped, wiping out
Hologram with a hurracanrana. Komander took flight and
crashed down onto Hologram on the arena floor!
The fans chanted “This is awesome! This is awesome!”
Komander raised his knees, blocking a 450 splash from
Komander. Hologram walked the ropes and Komander power
bombed Hologram out of midair! Komander spiked Hologram with
a poison rana, but Hologram planted Komander with a poison
rana of his own! Hologram put Komander in the airplane spin
bomb and picked up the pinfall victory!
After the match, Jake “The Snake” Roberts walked onto the
ramp. Hologram and Komander hugged after the match until The
Beast Mortos, Dralistico, and Rush stormed the ring! They
attacked both Komander and Hologram!
“It appears Rush is aligned with Jake Roberts, and
Dralistico and The Beast Mortos are aligned with Rush!” said
Excalibur.
Lexy Nair interviewed ROH World Champion Mark Briscoe!
Briscoe: “Jericho, you messed up. This ain’t a place you
want me to be at! At WrestleDream it ain’t even about this
belt. I’m gonna hurt you.”
Daniel Garcia came down to the ring!
Garcia: “It feels so good to come out here and to feel your
energy. I’ve been sitting at home for awhile and I really
missed this. I want to thank Tony Khan for giving me this
time. When you’re sitting at home and you’re sitting and
contemplating, you have so much time to think. And you have
to think, ‘What is best for me?’ It’s not always the easy
answer or the popular answer.
“I never wanted to be a guy who didn’t follow through on my
word. So I just feel like it was really important that I
come out here and look all of you in the eyes and tell you
what I’m going to do. I feel like I came to the conclusion
that Daniel Garcia can do what he wants because I’m one of
the best professional wrestlers in the world.
“And because I’m one of the best professional wrestlers in
the world, t’s only right that I stay where the best
wrestle. AEW!
“This is a different Daniel Garcia! This is the Daniel
Garcia that starts changing everything at AEW. And that
starts with gold around my waist. So anyone who has a
championship in the back, the feeling is restored, you’re
not safe!”
It was announced that Swerve Strickland will return at AEW
WrestleDream!
4-Way AEW Women’s World Title Eliminator for Title Shot at
WrestleDream!
Jamie Hayter vs. Willow Nightingale vs. Saraya (with Harley
Cameron)
vs. “The Native Beast” Nyla Rose!
The winner faces AEW Women’s World Champion “The Glamour”
Mariah May this Saturday at WrestleDream live on pay-per-
view!
AEW Women’s World Champion “The Glamour” Mariah May joined
commentary for this match.
Nyla slammed Willow. Hayter isolated Nyla in the corner with
stomps. Hayter hit a cross body press on Nyla. Saraya
blasted Hayter with a thrust kick. Willow nailed Nyla with a
spinebuster!
Hayter double suplexed Nyla and Willow! Penelope Ford
returned and cracked Jamie Hayter in the back with a steel
chair! Hayter chased after Penelope, following her to the
back. Nyla climbed to the top turnbuckle, but Harley jumped
onto the apron and shoved Nyla to the arena floor! This left
Saraya and Willow in the ring, with Saraya drilled Willow
with a DDT for a near fall!
Willow power bombed Harley. Willow picked up Saraya and
smashed her through a table, picking up the pin!
“Mariah, you have your work cut out for you at
WrestleDream,” said Jeff Jarrett.
Mariah blindsided Willow on the ramp with a headbutt and
then whipped Willow with the AEW Women’s World title belt!
“The Learning Tree” Chris Jericho was backstage with Big
Bill and Bryan Keith.
They approached Rocky Romero. Jericho said he wanted to help
Rocky to learn his value and self-worth.
“Jericho is trying to plant some seeds of dissent in the
Conglomeration,” said Excalibur.
“Switchblade” Jay White (with Juice Robinson) vs. Cody
Chhun!
Jay jabbed and chopped at Chhun. Jay White suplexed Cody
into the turnbuckles. “Switchblade” Jay White finished off
Cody with the Blade Runner and pinned Cody.
“That was a decisive victory,” said Tony Schiavone.
Jay White: “Hangman, I told you that you are one of two men
that knocked me off my path to the AEW World Championship.
You are lucky number one. Last week I made that clear to
you. So I ask you, what are you going to do about it?
“I imagine you won’t be quiet about it. I imagine the
Hangman is coming for me and that’s perfect. I want Hangman
versus Switchblade once more! And when I beat you, I will
move on to correcting number two, and then I will move on to
the gold! Hangman it all starts with you, and it starts this
Saturday at WrestleDream!”
HOOK called out Taz’s attacker!
HOOK: “You know why I’m here. Whoever jumped my father,
reveal yourself!”
Kip Sabian bumped HOOK and HOOK almost blasted him. Sabian
said he had nothing to do with it.
Christian Cage, Nick Wayne, and Mother Wayne walked up to
HOOK!
Christian Cage: “Have you seen Kip Sabian around?”
HOOK: “Nope. You have something to say to me?”
Christian Cage: “Actually I do. We’re both family men,
aren’t we HOOK? I lost Killswitch to a serious medical
situation, so I want to say I sympathize with you, HOOK, on
the loss of your father.”
Double Title Match!
TBS Champion and NJPW STRONG Champion “The CEO” Mercedes
Moné (with “The Brickhouse” Kamille)
vs.
Emi Sakura!
Mercedes chopped at Emi in the corner. Emi ducked a chop and
rocked The CEO with rapid fire chops. Mercedes nailed Emi
with a jawbreaker. Emi used a tilt-a-whirl back breaker to
neutralize Mercedes.
Mercedes planted Emi with a meteora onto the arena floor!
Mercedes followed up with a backstabber for a near fall. Emi
splashed the champion as she was draped over the guardrail.
Emi splashed Mercedes and Kamille against the barricade.
Emi nailed Mercedes with a back breaker. Kamille swept out
Emi’s legs. Mercedes locked on the Statement Maker and
forced Emi Sakura to tap out!
“The double champ found a way to win on Title Tuesday. It
was just that simple,” said Jeff Jarrett.
Mercedes and Kamille double teamed Emi after the match. Kris
Statlander stormed down the ramp and pump kicked Kamille,
sending her and Mercedes packing!
Renee Paquette interviewed Private Party backstage!
Stokely Hathaway asked for some time with Private Party.
Stokely said he could help them against the Young Bucks on
Saturday.
Marq Quen: “Thanks, but no thanks. Where were you the past
five years?”
Tony Schiavone interviewed AEW International Champion Will
Ospreay ahead of his match this Saturday against Takeshita
and Ricochet!
Ospreay: “I am here for some answers, and I want them right
now. Don Callis, let’s have a chat.”
Callis walked to the ring.
Callis: “I have something very important to say to you right
now. I just want to say, Will, last week was very difficult
for me emotionally. I hate to see you unhappy. Remember
those times when you and I beat Kenny Omega at Forbidden
Door? What about that time we beat Jericho at Wembley.”
Ospreay: “Did you send Takeshita out to attack me last
week?”
Callis: “I think you’re asking the wrong question here.”
Ospreay: “Yes, or no?”
Callis: “Yes! Yes, I sent him! I sent him out of frustration
because you wouldn’t listen. I had to show you who makes the
decisions on the family. And I sent Takeshita to show you.
Two weeks ago I was this close to winning the World Tag Team
titles and you dropped the match because you were too
mentally weak!”
Ospreay: “I brought you the International Championship! You
don’t know anything, bruv!”
Callis: “I had the best wrestler in the world, and I threw
him in the garbage for you. Maybe I need to do it one more
time.”
Ospreay: “You are everything that everyone warned me about.
You and me, we’re done!”
Callis slapped Ospreay in the face! Ospreay threw Callis
across the ring. Takeshita jumped into the ring and he and
Ospreay got into a slug fest. Kyle Fletcher tried to talk
sense into Ospreay. Takeshita grabbed Ospreay and hurled him
back with a German Suplex. Callis gave Fletcher a
screwdriver. Fletcher, conflicted, left the ring! Callis
held Ospreay by the hair and Takeshita struck Ospreay.
Ricochet ran to the ring and took down Takeshita. Finally
Takeshita left the ring with Don Callis.
Top Flight were backstage!
Darius: “We should be the ones wrestling the Bucks.
Dante: “Agreed! There’s no reason we shouldn’t be wrestling
the Bucks this Saturday!”
Action: “No reason?” You guys just don’t get it!”
Action Andretti stormed off.
Match of Champions!
AEW World Champion “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson & one-
third of the AEW World Trios Champion Wheeler Yuta
vs.
Blackpool Combat Club’s “The Bastard” PAC & Claudio
Castagnoli (two-thirds of the AEW World Trios Champions)!
Yuta and Danielson worked in concert to great effect to take
down Pac and Claudio. Danielson locked Pac in a surfboard
and then Yuta dropkicked Pac!
Wheeler Yuta planted Pac with a German Suplex. Yuta applied
the Cattle Mutilation on Pac, but Claudio got into the ring
and broke up the submission attempt. Danielson jumped at
Claudio, but Claudio countered with a neutralizer on the
floor!
Danielson made a tag and connected with a dropkick to
Claudio. Danielson followed up with a running kick in the
corner. Danielson reversed a power bomb off the turnbuckles
with a hurracanrana on Claudio!
Danielson battered Claudio with repeated kicks. Danielson
captured Claudio’s wrists and stomped on Claudio. Pac ran in
but Danielson sent Pac down to the mat shoulder first. Jon
Moxley and Marina Shafir surrounded the ring. Pac hit a 450
splash on a distracted Danielson for a near fall.
Pac grabbed a ring hammer, but Yuta disarmed him. Danielson
took down Pac, applied the LeBell Lock, and Pac tapped out!
Danielson took the fight to Mox next, brawling up the ramp
with him! Meanwhile, Marina assaulted Wheeler with knee
strikes to the injured ribs. Claudio, Marina, and Pac triple
teamed Wheeler in the ring. Claudio struck Wheeler with a
hammer! Danielson and Moxley fought back to the ring and
Danielson wiped out Claudio with a knee strike. Marina
helped a dazed Moxley to the back.
