Jhonata Diniz lost a big fight with Derrick Lewis a day before UFC Edmonton, but now the undefeated heavyweight finds himself competing at Madison Square Garden.

During Saturday’s UFC Edmonton broadcast, it was announced that Diniz now faces Marcin Tybura at UFC 309, which takes place Nov. 16 in New York.

Diniz was removed from Saturday’s Fight Night card after Lewis was pulled with a non-weight cutting medical issue, per the promotion. He’ll now look to improve his record to 9-0 as a pro, and 3-0 in the UFC after earning a contract on Dana White’s Contender Series. The 33-year-old knocked out Austen Lane in his UFC debut, and followed it up with a decision win against Karl Williams in August.

Tybura looks to get back on track after getting stopped in the first round by Serghei Spivac in the main event of UFC Vegas 95. Prior to that, “Tybur” finished Tai Tuivasa in the opening round at UFC Vegas 88 in March.

UFC 309 is headlined by a heavyweight title fight between champion Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic.
