Julia Avila had her final fight at UFC Vegas 102.

Avila faced Jacqueline Cavalcanti in the opening contest of Saturday’s fight card at the UFC APEX and was on the wrong end of a unanimous decision. Following the loss, Avila announced her retirement from the sport, and did so with her young daughter joining her in the octagon.

“This is it,” Avila told Daniel Cormier. “I want to thank God for giving me the opportunity to fight on the world’s best stage. And usually I start my fight with Psalm 144:1 — may God strengthen my fists for battle, and fingers for warfare.

“Today I say, God says well done, my good and faithful servant.”

Avila calls it a career with a 9-4 pro record, including a 3-3 run in the UFC. “Raging Panda” was ravaged my injuries — and took time off to be a mom — over the past few years, leading to just two bouts since June 2021. The 36-year-old’s victories include a decision against Pannie Kianzad at UFC 239 in her debut, along with stoppage wins over Gina Mazany and Julija Stoliarenko.

Cavalcante swept all three judges’ scorecards as she remained undefeated in the UFC, and extended her overall win streak to seven fights.
