LILIAN GARCIA: Lilian Garcia returns to WWE as full-time Raw ring announcer

With Samantha Irvin’s shock exit, WWE brought back Lilian
Garcia full time as the new Raw ring announcer.

Before the show went on the air, Raw commentator Joe
Tessitore introduced Garcia back, who was visibly super
thrilled to return, as fans gave her a standing ovation. She
fist-bumped both Tessitore and Wade Barrett, who also gave
her a standing ovation at ringside.

Garcia was really nervous on her first night back, making a
couple of mistakes along the way as the night went by,
something she admitted in her social media message after the
show ended.

This is Garcia’s third full-time stint with the company. She
started in late 1999 and spent 10 years as the Raw ring
announcer before leaving the company to pursue a singing
career. She returned in 2012 for her second stint and lasted
until 2016.

The 58-year-old has made several appearances on WWE
television since then, most recently this past May when
Samantha Irvin welcomed back Garcia to Raw in South Carolina
and handed her the mic to introduce one match.
