Neeraj Goyat did just about everything but stop Whindersson Nunes in their six-round fight to kick off the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson main card on Netflix.
The Indian born fighter put together several blistering combinations as he continuously punished Nunes round after round but the social influencer turned boxer just refused to go away. Goyat kept teeing off and he put together a nasty series of punches just before the fight ended as he secured his victory in lopsided fashion.
The judges scored the fight 59-55, 60-54 and 60-54 with Goyat getting the nod by unanimous decision.

Always the entertainer, Goyat seemed like he was just as happy to put on a show as he was looking for the knockout on Nunes. The first few rounds saw plenty of back and forth action with Goyat constantly headhunting and Nunes attempting to mix up his punches but struggling to land with as much accuracy.
There were moments when it looked like Goyat was starting to run out of gas but that’s exactly when he would explode forward with a huge combination of punches. As time passed, Nunes was starting to get tagged more often and many of his shots were thrown in an effort to back off Goyat as the fighters continuously operated from the pocket.
It was Goyat who looked more comfortable fighting in the phone booth as he kept his hands high and then just snapped off his biggest punches that saw Nunes’ head whip around in response. Goyat continued to punish Nunes but he just couldn’t put the Brazilian down.
Still, Goyat was hammering away with big looping punches and trying to put Nunes away until the final bell sounded to end the fight.
A recent signee to Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions, Goyat has actually been pushing for a showdown with his promoter in the ring with hopes to take the fight back to India. It remains to be seen if Goyat gets his wish but for now he can celebrate his latest win over Nunes on Saturday.
