This is the PFL Battle of the Giants live blog for Cris Cyborg vs. Larissa Pacheco, the featherweight co-main event this Saturday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Widely considered one of the greatest female fighters of all time, Cyborg is the reigning Bellator featherweight champion with five title defenses to her name. Recently though, the 39-year-old Brazilian has been trying her hand at boxing, with four wins in the past two years, including two in 2024. Now Cyborg returns to the MMA cage and makes her PFL debut in what figures to be one of the final fights of her storied career.
After going 0-2 in the UFC early in her career, Pachecho made the move to PFL in 2019 where she lost to Kayla Harrison in her promotional debut. Pacheco worked her way into the lightweight playoffs that year, but again lost to Harrison in the championship. And as of now, that’s the last time Pacheco has lost. The 30-year-old Brazilian is on a 10-fight winning streak, including beating Harrison to win the 2022 lightweight season, and then becoming the first two-division champion in promotional history when she won the 2023 featherweight tournament.
Pacheco and Cyborg enter the co-headliner at No. 6 and No. 7, respectively, in the MMA Fighting Pound-for-Pound Rankings.
