Bryce Mitchell had enough of Kron Gracie pulling guard so he decided to use the move against him with a huge slam and a couple of vicious elbows that led to a knockout win at UFC 310.
In a grappling heavy matchup, Mitchell had to survive a submission scare in the second round but made Gracie pay after desperately trying to drag the fight back to the ground a few moments later. Rather than just fall to the canvas, Mitchell drove Gracie down and then followed up with some devastating elbow strikes that finished the fight at just 39 seconds into the third round.

It was an impressive ending from Mitchell, who paid credit to Gracie for nearly pulling off the upset with his submission attempt.
“I didn’t have an option to take him down or not,” Mitchell said about Gracie continuously pulling him to the ground. “I had no option. If you are fighting a Gracie, don’t go against the cage with him. I honestly thought he might break the arm. That’s a Gracie. Show him respect. That’s a Gracie.”
It didn’t take long for the fight to end up on the floor but Mitchell showed no fear after Gracie dragged him to the ground. Mitchell was methodical on top, peppering away with punches but never allowing Gracie any room to work with his world-class grappling from the bottom.
Following a slow moving opening round, Gracie actually came out firing on the feet with Mitchell coming right back at him. It was a short-lived exchange, however, because Gracie eventually conceded another takedown with Mitchell back on top of him.
Mitchell stood back up again but that lasted for only a moment with Gracie grabbing onto him and falling back into his guard again. This time, Gracie was able to swivel his hips and look for an armbar before adjusting to look for a triangle choke instead.
Mitchell resisted, escaped and unloaded with a few punches just before the round ended.
As the third round got started, Gracie closed the distance and jumped up to pull the fight down to the ground again but this time Mitchell used the momentum to bring him crashing to the canvas. The hellacious elbow strikes followed with Gracie going limp as the referee rushed in to stop the fight.
The win puts Mitchell back on track following a scary knockout loss to Josh Emmett in his previous outing as he improves his record to 2-2 over his last four fights.
