UFC 305 predictions

Dricus du Plessis and Israel Adesanya will finally get the chance to hit each other in the face in a heated main event.

UFC 305 takes place in Perth, Western Australia, where the heated rivals will battle it out to cap off Saturday’s pay-per-view extravaganza. Du Plessis looks to break the no-title-defenses streak in the middleweight division, while Adesanya may reach unchartered territory by becoming the UFC’s first-ever three-time 185-pound champ. The fight also serves as Adesanya’s return from the longest layoff of his pro career.

The stakes are quite high in the co-main event as recent flyweight title challenger Steve Erceg — who was a hair away from capturing the belt — faces one-time interim title challenger Kai Kara-France. Oddly enough, Erceg’s entire UFC run has taken place since Kara-France’s recent outing, a close decision loss to Amir Albazi. Both guys need this one in a big way.

In other main card action, Mateusz Gamrot aims to continue his case to fight for the lightweight title as he faces the gritty Dan Hooker, while heavyweights Tai Tuivasa and Jairzinho Rozenstruik battle it out in a hard-hitting bout. The pay-per-view slate opens with the return of Li Jingliang battling the dangerous Carlos Prates.
