UFC 306 post-event facts: Merab Dvalishvili's streak reaches historic status in title win vs. Sean O'Malley

The UFC’s historic event at Sphere in Las Vegas on Saturday produced historic results, because UFC 306 joined the short list of events to crown two new champions on the same night

In the main event, Merab Dvalishvili (18-4 MMA, 11-2 UFC) claimed the bantamweight title from Sean O’Malley (18-2 MMA, 10-2 UFC) in a one-sided unanimous decision. A similar result occurred in the co-headliner, when Valentina Shevchenko (24-4-1 MMA, 13-3-1 UFC) outworked Alexa Grasso (16-4-1 MMA, 8-4-1 UFC) to a unanimous decision in their trilogy bout to reclaim the women’s flyweight belt.

The UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance payout for the event totaled $239,500.

Esteban Ribovics, Daniel Zellhuber, Ketlen Souza, Ignacio Bahamondes earned $50,000 UFC 306 fight-night bonuses.

UFC 306 drew an announced attendance of 16,024 for a live gate of $22,000,000.

Betting favorites went 6-4 on the card.
