This is the UFC 307 live blog for Roman Dolidze vs. Kevin Holland, the main card middleweight matchup this Saturday in Salt Lake City.

Since dropping down to middleweight in 2021, Dolidze has become one of the division’s best finishers, earning three Performance bonuses in a row before dropping back-to-back decision to Marvin Vettori and Nassourdine Imavov. After those losses, Dolidze took a chance to move back up to light heavyweight for a short-notice fight with Anthony Smith, which he won via unanimous decision, but now it’s right back down to 185 pounds as the Georgian fighter hopes to reestablish himself as a middleweight contender.

After famously failing to impress Dana White on Contender Series, Holland stepped into the UFC on short notice in 2018 and the rest is history. Affectionately dubbed “Big Mouth” by White, Holland became a fan favorite for his boisterous personality and his willingness to fight seemingly every other week across multiple weight classes. Now, despite being ranked at welterweight, Holland returns to middleweight for a battle with Dolidze.
