A lightweight battle has been added to the UFC’s next pay-per-view lineup.
Multiple people with knowledge of the promotion’s plans confirmed to MMA Fighting that a matchup between Jalin Turner and Ignacio Bahamondes is set for UFC 313 on March 8 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. UFC broadcast partner ESPN was the first to report the booking.
Turner looks to get back to his winning ways after suffering a TKO loss to Renato Moicano in his most recent outing at UFC 300 this past April. “The Tarantula” knocked out King Green in his prior bout at UFC Austin in December 2023 — snapping a two-fight skid following back-to-back split decision losses to Dan Hooker and Mateusz Gamrot.
Bahamondes finished his past two opponents in the first round — including a stoppage win over Manuel Torres at UFC 306 in September — and has won five of his past six contests.
UFC 303 is headlined by Alex Pereira vs. Magomed Ankalaev for the light heavyweight title, while Hooker faces Justin Gaethje in the five-round co-main event.
