UFC Fight Night 243 post-event facts: Renato Moicano matches Paddy Pimblett's streak to set up potential fight

The UFC made its annual stop in Paris on Saturday with UFC Fight Night 243, which went down at Accor Arena and featured a 14-fight lineup.

The French crowd was sent home disappointed after the main event, because Renato Moicano (20-6-1 MMA, 12-5 UFC) battered Benoit Saint Denis (13-3 MMA, 5-3 UFC) en route to a second-round doctor’s stoppage TKO to advance his position in the lightweight division.

The UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance payout for the event totaled $173,500.

Debuting fighters went 0-1 at the event.

Morgan Charriere, Fares Ziam, Bryan Battle and Chris Duncan earned $50,000 UFC Fight Night 243 fight-night bonuses.

UFC Fight Night 243 had an announced attendance of 15,449 for a live gate of $4,000,000.

Betting favorites went 12-2 on the card.

Betting favorites fell to 23-9 in UFC headliners this year.

Total fight time for the 14-bout card was 2:44:39.

Renato Moicano def. Benoit Saint Denis

Moicano improved to 7-1 since he moved up to the UFC lightweight division in March 2020.

Moicano’s six-fight UFC winning streak at lightweight is tied with Paddy Pimblett for the second-longest active streak in the division behind Islam Makhachev (13).

Saint Denis suffered consecutive losses for the first time in his career. He hasn’t earned a victory since November 2023.

Saint Denis has suffered two of his three career losses by stoppage.

Nassourdine Imavov (15-4 MMA, 7-2 UFC) has earned four of his seven UFC victories by decision.

Brendan Allen (24-6 MMA, 12-3 UFC) has suffered three of his six career losses by decision.

William Gomis def. Joanderson Brito

William Gomis’ (14-2 MMA, 4-0 UFC) four-fight UFC winning streak at featherweight is tied for the third-longest active streak in the division behind Movsar Evloev (seven), Ilia Topuria (six) and Lerone Murphy (six).

Gomis has earned three of his four UFC victories by decision.

Joanderson Brito (17-4-1 MMA, 5-2 UFC) has suffered both of his UFC losses by decision.

Bryan Battle def. Kevin Jousset

Battle (11-2 MMA, 6-1 UFC) improved to 4-1 with one no contest since he dropped to the UFC welterweight division in August 2022.

Battle has earned nine of his 11 career victories by stoppage. That includes five of his six UFC wins.

Kevin Jousset (10-3 MMA, 2-1 UFC) has suffered two of his three career losses by stoppage.

Jousset has suffered both of his career stoppage losses by knockout.

Charriere (20-10-1 MMA, 2-1 UFC) has earned both of his UFC victories by knockout.

Gabriel Miranda (18-6 MMA, 2-1 UFC) has suffered all three of his career stoppage losses by knockout.

Fares Ziam def. Matt Frevola

Ziam’s (16-4 MMA, 6-2 UFC) four-fight UFC winning streak at lightweight is tied for the third-longest active streak in the division behind Makhachev (13) and Pimblett (six).

Matt Frevola (11-5-1 MMA, 5-5-1 UFC) has suffered all four of his career stoppage losses by knockout.

Ludovit Klein’s (23-4-1 MMA, 7-2-1 UFC) seven-fight unbeaten streak in UFC lightweight competition is the second-longest active streak in the division behind Makhachev (13).

Roosevelt Roberts’ (12-5 MMA, 4-5 UFC) five-fight UFC winless skid is the longest of his career. He hasn’t earned a victory since May 2020.

Taylor Lapilus def. Vince Morales

Taylor Lapilus (21-4 MMA, 6-2 UFC) improved to 3-1 since he returned to the UFC for a second stint in September 2023.

Lapilus has earned five of his six UFC victories by decision.

Vince Morales (11-8 MMA, 3-6 UFC) has suffered five of his six UFC losses by decision.

Ailin Perez (11-2 MMA, 4-1 UFC) earned the first stoppage victory of her UFC career with a submission win.

Darya Zheleznyakova (9-2 MMA, 1-1 UFC) has suffered both of her career losses by stoppage.

Zheleznyakova suffered the first submission loss of her career.
