UFC Fight Night 247 had some rough luck in the buildup, with seemingly more cancellations and 11th-hour changes than the average show.
But Saturday, the 11 bouts that remained on the card picked up the slack. Eight of them ended in stoppages, including the first five fights on the prelims. And six of those finishes came in the first round – a no doubt refreshing change of pace for every-event fans who had grown accustomed to seeing 15-minute fights more often than not in recent months.
