Sean Brady ended 2024 with a submission win in the grappling world, then he sent a message on the microphone to former UFC champ Leon Edwards.

The 19-1 welterweight headlined Saturday’s Fury Pro Grappling event at 2300 Arena — formerly the infamous ECW Arena — in his home city of Philadelphia against Richie Martinez and delivered an impressive showing, which was capped off with a nasty mounted guillotine to secure the tap.

Watch highlights, including the finish in the videos below.

Brady has only competed twice in the octagon since suffering his only loss to now-champ Belal Muhammad at UFC 280 in October 2022. The 32-year-old bounced back nicely with a lopsided submission win against Kelvin Gastelum at UFC Austin in December 2023, then dominated Gilbert Burns in his first UFC main event at UFC Vegas 97 in September, sweeping the scorecards from two of the judges, and earning a 49-46 on the other.

After his grappling victory over the weekend, Brady took it all in before delivering his callout to Edwards for the UFC’s return to London in March.

“I want to go to London and I want to fight Leon in his backyard March 22,” Brady said. “So hopefully the UFC can make that happen, but we’ll see.”
