The bell rings and the two lock up. Femi whips Thorpe into the corner, but Thorpe responds with his signature elbow drop and fires off kicks on Femi's chest. Femi runs over Thorpe with a clothesline, then sends him crashing across the ring twice and connects with a back body drop.
Thorpe delivers a jawbreaker to Femi off the top rope, then dropkicks him off the apron and onto the floor as we see A-Town Down Under watching the action from ringside. Thorpe sends Femi crashing into the ring apron, then dumps him back inside the ring and lands a couple of boots on his head. Thorpe then lands a kick on Femi's chest and fires off a couple of chops on him in the corner before he wears him down with a submission hold.
Femi fires off strikes on Thorpe in the corner, then runs him over with a big boot and sends him crashing into the mat with a Sidewalk Slam. He follows it up with an uppercut and sends Thorpe crashing into the mat with a spinebuster, but Thorpe returns the favor. Femi turns Thorpe inside out with a clothesline, but Thorpe lands a Stunner on Femi and ascends to the top rope. He connects with an elbow drop and goes for a pin, but Femi kicks out.
Femi and Thorpe exchange strikes with one another, but Thorpe delivers a German suplex to Femi and looks to land his signature elbow drop on him. Femi intercepts Thorpe and sends him crashing into the mat with a chokeslam, then goes for a pin but Thorpe kicks out. Femi then charges at Thorpe, but Thorpe ducks out of the way and Femi is sent crashing into the ring post shoulder first. Thorpe looks to land a kick on Femi in the corner, but Femi intercepts it and sends Thorpe crashing into the mat. He follows it up with a powerbomb for the win.

After the match, Femi stares down A-Town Down Under. He turns around to find Trick Williams standing behind him and stares him down. Thorpe looks to blindside Williams, but Williams levels him with the Trick Shot. Williams then stares down Femi as Femi holds up his NXT Championship and the show goes off the air.
