That was the prevailing sentiment on social media after the longtime featherweight contender scored a massive knockout of Billy Quarantillo in Saturday’s UFC Tampa main event. Swanson and Quarantillo had already thrilled the Florida crowd with two rounds of back-and-forth action on the feet, but “Killer Cub” made sure to put an exclamation point on the entertaining affair with a 1-2 punch combo that put Quarantillo down for the count.
MMA stars from across the board heaped praise upon Swanson, including UFC middleweight champion Dricus du Plessis, lightweight star Dustin Poirier, and one-time “BMF” titleholder Jorge Masvidal.
It was the 15th win in 25 UFC appearances for Swanson, who also had an extensive career in World Extreme Cagefighting. He’s been the recipient of numerous post-event awards and will likely notch another $50,000 bonus for his latest exploits.
