Ngannou vs. Ferreira took place Oct. 19 at The Mayadeen in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Francis Ngannou (18-3) and Renan Ferreira (13-4, 3 no-contests) squared off in the PFL main event clash. The fight aired live on pay-per-view on DAZN and ESPN+.

Round 1

Dan Miragliotta the third man in the cage for the main event.

Big leg kick from Ngannou to start. Ferreira lets Ngannou feel one, and Ngannou gets him with another. Ferreira with his hands low, daring Ngannou to throw first. Ngannou ducks a strike and lands a beautiful takedown.

Ngannou patient on top, but Ferreira is staying busy. He throws those big legs up for a triangle attempt. Ngannou lands a few punches and clears his head. Ground-and-pound from “The Predator,” he doesn’t look like he’s lost a step. Still early, though.

Heavy shots and Ferreira is not defending. Looked like there was a few to the back of the head there, not that it matters as Ferreira is OUT. Miragliotta a touch late on the stoppage there.
