Nevada suspends four DWCS fighters, including the one who withdrew on fight night

LAS VEGAS – Four fighters who competed on Dana White’s Contender Series in 2024 have been suspended by the Nevada Athletic Commission for disciplinary reasons.

At a monthly meeting held Wednesday, the commission voted to extend three temporary suspensions while it approved an adjudication for the fourth. Though exact circumstances varied, the four fighters failed drug tests surrounding their DWCS bouts. Three of those fighters lost their bouts, while the fourth withdrew from his bout minutes before his scheduled walkout.

Abdellah Er-Ramy

Fight: Oct. 1 loss to Torrez Finney via TKO (ground-and-pound) – Round 1, 4:10
Substance: Drostanalone
Disciplinary action: Temporary suspension maintained; disciplinary action will be decided upon for future monthly meeting.

Quemuel Ottoni

Fight: Did not compete. Ottoni was scheduled to fight Sept. 24 vs. Kody Steele, but informed the promotion minutes before his scheduled walkout that he no longer wanted to do so.
Substance: Clomiphene
Disciplinary action: Temporary suspension maintained; disciplinary action will be decided upon for future monthly meeting.

Francesco Mazzeo

Fight: Sept. 24 loss to Kevin Christian by submission (triangle choke) – Round 2, 4:17
Substance: GW1516
Disciplinary action: Temporary suspension maintained; disciplinary action will be decided upon for future monthly meeting.

Michael Imperato

Fight: Aug. 20 loss to Cortavious Romious
Substance: Stanozolol
Disciplinary action: Suspended nine months that terminates May 19, 2025; Fined $907.04 ($750 fine + $157.04 legal fees); Additional drug testing.
