UFC 311 has undergone another change with a change to a preliminary fight just five days before the event is scheduled to take place.

Sedriques Dumas is no longer competing on Saturday for undisclosed reasons. In his place steps LFA middleweight champion Azamat Bekeov, who is now slated to face Zachary Reese at UFC 311 from the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.

Multiple people with knowledge of the promotion’s plans confirmed the news to MMA Fighting on Monday. ZacLikesMMA first reported the change on Twitter.

With an 18-3 record overall, Bekoev joins the UFC roster on a six-fight win streak including three consecutive victories in title fights. The 29-year-old Russian shared his excitement about getting the call to sign with the UFC after his manager, Brian Butler from Suckerpunch Entertainment, gave him the news.

As for Reese, the Contender Series veteran looks to build on back-to-back wins after demolishing Julian Marquez in just 20 seconds and then scoring a unanimous decision over Jose Medina this past August.

Overall, Reese sports a 2-1 record in the UFC with his only loss coming from a freak slam where he was knocked out by Cody Brundage back in 2023.

UFC 311 goes down Saturday night from Los Angeles with Reese vs. Bekeov joining the preliminary card while a pair of title fights headline the show as lightweight king Islam Makhachev defends his belt against Arman Tsarukyan in the main event while Merab Dvalishvili takes on undefeated bantamweight Umar Nurmagomedov in the co-main event.
