Prochazka currently stands at No. 3 at 205 pounds in the MMA Fighting Global Rankings, with Hill a few spots behind at No. 6.
This featured main card matchup pits two former UFC light heavyweight champions against one another who have followed eerily similar paths in recent years. Prochazka (30-5-1) won the title in 2022 with a wild fifth-round submission of Glover Teixeira, then relinquished the belt due to injury. He went on to face Alex Pereira in a pair of championship fights, losing both by knockout.
Hill (12-2, 1 NC) won the title in 2023 with a one-sided decision win over Teixeira, then relinquished the belt due to injury. He went on to challenge Pereira for the championship at UFC 300, where he lost by knockout.
Both fighters now seek to prove they’re the No. 1 contender for another title shot Saturday night.
