UFC 312 weigh-in results: Dricus du Plessis, Zhang Weili on weight for title defenses, 1 bout cancelled

Dricus du Plessis, Sean Strickland, Zhang Weili, and Tatiana Suarez all took care of business at Friday’s official weigh-ins for UFC 312.

Saturday’s middleweight main event at Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney is on track as the champion du Plessis and challenger Strickland both successfully weighed in at 185 pounds. Zhang defends her strawweight title against Suarez in the co-main event, with the champion weighing in at 115 pounds and Suarez a shade under the limit at 114.5 pounds.

All 24 fighters that arrived at the official weigh-ins successfully made weight, though the occasion experienced one notable hiccup.

Prior to the start of the weigh-ins, officials announced that a preliminary flyweight bout between Hyun Sung Park and Nyamjargal Tumendemberel has been canceled due to Tumendemberel experiencing weight management issues.
