Hyder Amil def. Jeong Yeong Lee via TKO (punches) – Round 1, 1:05

One of the best one-minute(ish) fights in UFC history may have taken place Saturday at the UFC Apex when Hyder Amil (10-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) and Jeong Yeong Lee (11-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC) went blow-for-blow until Lee needed saving. It was all offense from the beginning, and Amil got the standing stoppage 65 seconds into Round 1.

Performance of the Night: Bruno Silva

Bruno Silva def. Cody Durden via TKO (punches) – Round 2, 2:58

Bruno Silva (14-5-2 MMA, 4-2 UFC) showed off a knack for the comeback Saturday when he rallied to beat Cody Durden (16-6-1 MMA, 5-4 UFC) with punches in Round 2. The struggle was real at times in the fight, but an uppercut erased all that. Silva just needed a few follow-up punches and – voila – the win was his.

Performance of the Night: Steve Garcia

Who has the longest active knockout/TKO streak in the UFC? It’s Steve Garcia (16-5 MMA, 5-2 UFC) and he placed himself atop that leaderboard Saturday when he finished Seungwoo Choi (11-7 MMA, 4-6 UFC) in 96 seconds. JacksonWink, stand up.

Performance of the Night: Virna Jandiroba

LAS VEGAS, NEVADA – JULY 20: (L-R) Virna Jandiroba of Brazil works for a submission against Amanda Lemos of Brazil in a strawweight fight during the UFC Fight Night event at UFC APEX on July 20, 2024 in Las Vegas, Nevada. (Photo by Jeff Bottari/Zuffa LLC via Getty Images)

Virna Jandiroba def. Amanda Lemos via submission (armbar) – Round 2, 4:48

In the world of armbars, what Virna Jandiroba (21-3 MMA, 7-3 UFC) pulled off Saturday might just be as slick as they come. As she worked from the back of Amanda Lemos (14-3-1 MMA, 8-3 UFC), Jandiroba eventually switched to an armbar that was inescapable. Lemos’ arm was badly torqued and the tap came shortly thereafter.
