UFC on ESPN 60 post-event facts: Virna Jandiroba making mark on strawweight record book

The octagon returned to its home base of the UFC Apex in Las Vegas on Saturday with UFC on ESPN 60.

The main event saw Virna Jandiroba (21-3 MMA, 7-3 UFC) score a slick submission win over former strawweight title challenger Amanda Lemos (14-4-1 MMA, 8-4 UFC) to enhance the case for a title shot of her own.

The UFC Promotional Guidelines Compliance payout for the event totaled $171,000.

Jandiroba, Steve Garcia, Bruno Silva and Hyder Amil earned $50,000 UFC on ESPN 60 fight-night bonuses.

The UFC sold VIP tickets to fans for UFC on ESPN 60, but the promotion did not make public the total number of tickets sold or the gate.

Betting favorites went 6-5 on the card.

Betting favorites improved to 18-6 in UFC headliners this year.

Total fight time for the 11-bout card was 1:48:03.

Jandiroba’s four-fight UFC winning streak at strawweight is tied with Zhang Weili for the second-longest active streak in the division behind Tatiana Suarez (six).

Jandiroba’s four stoppage victories in UFC strawweight competition are tied for fourth-most in divisional history behind Jessica Andrade (six), Rose Namajunas (five) and Lemos (five).

Steve Garcia (16-5 MMA, 5-2 UFC) has earned all 13 of his career stoppage victories by knockout. That includes all five of his UFC wins.

Garcia’s four-fight UFC stoppage streak is tied for fourth-longest among active fighters in the company behind Shavkat Rakhmonov (six), Joanderson Brito (five) and Carlos Ulberg (five).

Seungwoo Choi (11-6 MMA, 4-5 UFC) has suffered five of his seven career losses by stoppage.

Bruno Silva def. Cody Durden

Silva’s (14-6-2 MMA, 4-2 UFC) four-fight UFC winning streak at flyweight is tied for the fourth-longest active streak in the division behind Alexandre Pantoja (six), Muhammad Mokaev (six) and Tatsuro Taira (five).

Silva has earned all four of his UFC victories by stoppage.

Silva’s four-fight UFC stoppage streak is tied for fourth-longest among active fighters in the company behind Rakhmonov (six), Brito (five) and Ulberg (five).

Cody Durden (16-6-1 MMA, 5-4-1 UFC) has suffered all four of his UFC losses by stoppage.

Durden suffered the first knockout loss of his career.

Dooho Choi def. Bill Algeo

Dooho Choi (15-4-1 MMA, 4-3-1 UFC) snapped his four-fight winless skid for his first victory since July 2016.

Choi has earned 13 of his 15 career victories by stoppage. He’s finished 12 of those wins by knockout.

Hyder Amil def. Jeong Yeong Lee

Amil (10-0 MMA, 2-0 UFC) has earned nine of his 10 career victories by stoppage.

Jeong Yeong Lee (11-2 MMA, 2-1 UFC) suffered the first stoppage loss of his career with a knockout defeat.

Cody Gibson def. Brian Kelleher

Brian Kelleher’s (24-16 MMA, 8-9 UFC) four-fight losing skid is the longest of his career. He hasn’t earned a victory since January 2022.

Kelleher has suffered six of his seven UFC losses by stoppage.

Kelleher has suffered nine of his 11 career stoppage losses by submission.

Lucie Pudilova (14-10 MMA, 3-8 UFC) fell to 1-3 since she returned to the UFC for a second stint in August 2022.
