James Llontop and Michal Figlak are no longer under contract with the UFC, MMA Fighting has learned. Both lightweights went winless under the UFC banner, a combined 0-5 run inside the octagon.

MMA Latinoamérica first reported Llontop’s release.

Figlak (8-2) won six straight under the Cage Warriors banner in Europe before signing with the UFC in 2022, losing his debut fight to Fares Ziam via decision. He only returned to action 19 months later, suffering a controversial decision defeat to Austin Hubbard.

Llontop (14-5) entered the promotion after defeating Malik Lewis at Dana White’s Contender Series in late 2023, but missed weight and lost via submission to Chris Padilla in his debut in 2024.

“Goku” came back four months later to drop a split decision to Viacheslav Borshchev, and then missed weight for a 165-pound catchweight clash with Mauricio Ruffy, losing via decision.

Llontop recently announced on social media he’s fighting Yuri Neles next on March 13, headlining FFC 88 in Peru.
