Mackenzie Dern has evened up the series with Amanda Ribas.
The jiu-jitsu ace faced Ribas in the main event of UFC Vegas 101 on Saturday at the APEX. After two competitive rounds, Dern and Ribas battled into Round 3, and after a wild scramble, Dern ended up on top. She eventually worked for an armbar and while Ribas defended well for a bit, with just three seconds left in the round, Ribas was forced to tap after Dern got full extension.
Dern picked up her second consecutive victory, and exacted a bit of revenge over Ribas, who defeated Dern around five years ago via unanimous decision.
