Bogdan Guskov has a fight at UFC 311 after all.
This past Saturday, Johnny Walker announced he was out of his scheduled bout with Guskov (16-3) that was to take place at Saturday’s pay-per-view in Los Angeles, citing a “bad injury.”
Officials announced Monday that Guskov now has a short-notice replacement opponent, octagon newcomer Billy Elekana (7-1). The change was first reported by MMA Mania.
This is great news for Guskov, who is looking to capitalize on a successful 2024 campaign that saw him score knockouts of Ryan Spann and Zac Pauga. Fourteen of his sixteen career wins have come by way of KO/TKO.
Elekana also looks to continue his winning ways. Having previously competed for PFL and LFA, Elekana brings a three-fight win streak into his UFC debut.
UFC 311 is headlined by a pair of title fights, as Islam Makhachev defends his lightweight title against rival Arman Tsarukyan in the main event, and Merab Dvalishvili looks to author his first title defense against the undefeated Umar Nurmagomedov in the co-main event.
