This is the Misfits Boxing 20 main event live blog for Darren Till vs. Anthony Taylor, the influencer boxing match taking place on Saturday at the Co-op Live in Manchester, England.
A former UFC welterweight title challenger, Till left the UFC in 2023 to pursue a career in boxing. He made his debut last July in an exhibition bout against Mohammad Mutie in an exhibition bout, winning by a strange TKO that led to an in-ring brawl.
Till was originally supposed to face Tommy Fury this weekend, however Fury withdrew from the bout, saying he was concerned Till would not adhere to the rules of boxing. In Fury’s place, Taylor stepped in on short notice to face Till.
Also hailing from MMA origins, Taylor competed for numerous MMA organizations, including Bellator, before shifting his focus to boxing in 2021. Though he had an up-and-down start, Taylor is now on a four-fight winning streak and holds the Misfits light heavyweight title. This bout against Till is a catchweight bout and thus Taylor’s title will not be on the line.

Pre-Fight: Here we are! Wade Plemons just had a dominant decision win in the co-main event which means its Till time.
Well, actually it’s KSI talk time. He’s in the ring asking the fans who they want him to fight and just killing time? I don’t know but this is not necessary.
Now we’re going. Taylor is making his walk to the ring. He’s in white, gladiator shorts, with gold trim. He’s bouncing around, dancing enthusiastically, and looks very, very confident. Man is ready for this one.
Till is in a traditional boxing robe walking to the ring, white with black trim. He looks very unbothered by everything, like he’s not about to get into a fist fight. His trunks are also white with black trim.
The announcer gets things going and it’s time to rumble. Final instructions and the fighters touch gloves. Go time.

Round 3: Till back on the prowl. Taylor effortlessly walking back to the ropes now and not even giving Till much to think about. A few punches from Taylor come up short but then Taylor puts a 1-2 and rips the body. Till’s size is far too much. He’s just bullying Taylor around in there and has no fear of repercussions.
OH! Till hurts Taylor with an uppercut! Taylor came in and ate a counter uppercut hard, and then fell. ref called it a push but that is not right. He’s up and clearly hurt and Till is coming for him! Against the ropes and a left hand puts Taylor on the mat again. This time the referee warns Till for a shove.
Fight restarts and Till is in attack mode while Taylor tries to survive. Left hand from Till, combo. Taylor survives the round.

Taylor throwing some here though which is good. Showing life, trying to dig back in. Taylor even lands a right hand but Till eats it. Taylor can’t seem to hurt him at all.
Another counter uppercut from Till and this one sits him down for real! Taylor ducked his head coming in and Till timed it perfectly. Taylor is in trouble but beats the count and Till pouring it on now. Big shots! Taylor covering up, trying to survive. Referee stops Till during a combo to admonish him about something. Should be stopping the bout.
Till hands down, assaulting Taylor. Another uppercut catches Taylor and he’s on wobbly legs. Left hand backs him up. Taylor falls over but again the refs calls it a push. This could be stopped at any point. Taylor lands a right hand. Another “slip” and ref continues to just allow Taylor to flop around with no issue. Bell sounds.

Official Decision: Darren Till def. Anthony Taylor via Retirement — Round 6, 1:05
Post Fight: Till gives Taylor plenty of props for fighting up several weight classes, and takes a dig at Tommy Fury. He then talks about his Misfits debut, says he thinks he can do good things here. Then he grabs the mic and calls out Jorge Masvidal, Mike Perry, and everyone else to meet him in the ring.
Taylor then speaks, says he fought 20 pounds above his weight and that it didn’t go his way. Then says he’s going to go back “to the drawing board” and teases a potential retirement.
